The Intra-ACP Migration Facility or ACP Migration is a project initiated by the ACP Group of States, implemented within the framework of the Cotonou Agreement and funded by the European Development Fund (EDF). It was launched in 2009, and has an implementation period of 4 years.
To Mainstream migration into ACP national and regional development strategies and policies towards the improvement of living conditions and people’s rights.
The ACP Migration Facility includes three interrelated components :
Component 1: Strengthening the institutional capacity of six regional organizations and relevant national institutions in twelve pilot countries;
Component 2: Creating a network of observatories and analysis on ACP migration;
Component 3: Building the capacity of ACP civil society, at regional and national level, ensuring its enhanced participation to the dialogue on migration issues.
